Industrial Emissions

Addressing Europe’s major air pollution concerns, ENVIROMETRICS provides comprehensive solutions for Industrial Emissions, ensuring facilities align with the guidelines outlined in the EU’s Industrial Emissions Directive (IED). Our ELOT ΕΝ ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory, active since 2008, offers essential services in periodic monitoring of gas emissions, calibration of continuous emission monitoring systems, and odor management.

Our experienced team of engineers and scientists carries out precise measurements and tests in compliance with international standards. We extend our services to verify automatic measurement systems, ensuring they operate within set regulations and standards. Moreover, our odor management plan ensures that facilities remain within acceptable environmental impact levels.

In addition, we deliver robust environmental audits and gap analyses, identifying and addressing any potential deviations from Approved Environmental Terms. This comprehensive approach allows us to provide end-to-end solutions for environmental compliance, safeguarding both your project and the environment.

Our commitment lies in ensuring a sustainable future while facilitating your industrial activities.

As Europe confronts significant air pollution mainly due to industrial emissions, the European Union’s Industrial Emissions Directive (IED) provides essential guidelines for all industrial facilities. These rules aim at preventing and monitoring atmospheric pollution.

At ENVIROMETRICS, we’ve been operating an ELOT ΕΝ ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory since 2008, delivering comprehensive industrial emissions monitoring services. Our offerings include periodic measurements of gas emissions in line with European and National legislation, environmental permits, and best available techniques (BAT).

Our Industrial Emissions department comprises a team of highly skilled engineers and scientists. Their competencies are regularly assessed through participation in Proficiency Testing schemes and Interlaboratory Comparisons.

Further, we ensure continuous learning for our team as Source Testing Association (STA) members. We use specialized equipment for the sampling and measurement of gaseous pollutants following standard methods (ΕΝ, ISO, EPA, VDI, ASTM, NIOSH, HSE). For chemical analysis of the collected samples, we partner with accredited laboratories locally and internationally.

The full scope of accreditation can be found on the ESYD website.

Installations that continuously monitor exhaust gases must validate the effectiveness of their automatic measurement systems (AMS / CEM) regularly. European Standard 14181 outlines quality assurance procedures for such systems, specifying three quality levels: QAL1, QAL2/AST, and QAL3.

[QAL1] is handled by the manufacturer. [QAL2/AST] is performed by an independent ΕΝ ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory. [QAL3] is managed by the plant.

ENVIROMETRICS holds accreditation under EN 14181 for validating the quality assurance of AMS (QAL2 & AST).

The full scope of accreditation is available on the ESYD website.

An effective odor management plan outlines how a facility can ensure that potential odor impacts from its operations remain negligible and compliant with relevant environmental regulations.

At ENVIROMETRICS, we perform an initial assessment of the current situation, identify potential odor sources, and conduct sampling and analysis via Olfactometry using our ΕΝ ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory.

We then use this data to generate an Odor’s Dispersion Model, estimating maximum effects, frequency, and conditions of high concentrations. Our Management Plan incorporates good operational practices, odor control measures, and appropriate monitoring procedures.

Environmental compliance is critical for the protection of the environment. Non-compliance can lead to fines, reputational damage, and environmental harm. Compliance monitoring is vital during a project’s construction and operation.

Our ENVIROMETRICS team has extensive experience evaluating projects for compliance with Approved Environmental Terms. We use our ΕΝ ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and CEN/TS 15675:2007 accredited laboratory for exhaust gas emissions sampling and testing, atmospheric air, workplace air, and waste.

Our track record speaks for itself - we’ve implemented numerous projects measuring environmental parameters. We ensure potential gaps in the implementation of environmental monitoring programs are identified and provide effective measures for successful compliance with deadlines and reporting requirements.
